We Have Been Blessed: Temple of Literature

When we first arrived, it was cooler and a bit breezy. It was very nice to walk on the grounds a bit. Then more people arrived and it began to get warmer. Overall, it was nice to see. My husband was a bit bored and HOT (the sun actually can OUT today!)

Jacob's Poem

Little boy, all alone,
with nobody to call his own.
A family waits a world away,
the months drag by,
long day by day.
The pictures show up
now and then.
The family wonders time and again.
who dries his tears,
who holds him tight,
who tucks him into bed at night?
Who reads him books,
who sings him songs,
and comforts him
when something's wrong?
The little boy he does not know,
this family who loves him so.
Their love so strong,
their faith so deep,
safe in their hearts,
this boy they keep.
A brother and a son to be,
they wait and wait so patiently.

And then one day the stars align,
they pack their bags,
it's finally time!
The journey begun so long ago
is almost done,
It's time to go!
Hold on, sweet boy
here they come,
your days alone are almost done.
Welcome Jacob,
to this family who,
surely was chosen by God
just for you.
You're right where
you were meant to be,
alone no more,
you complete this family.

Legacy of an Adopted Child

Once there were two women who never knew each other
One you do not remember, the other you call Mother

Two different lives shaped to make you one
One became your guiding star, the other became your sun

The first one gave you life, and the second taught you to live it
The first gave you a need for love, the second was there to give it

One gave you a nationality, the other gave you a name
One gave you a talent, the other gave you aim

One gave you emotions, the other calmed your fears
One saw your first sweet smile, the other dried you tears

One made an adoption plan, that was all that she could do
The other prayed for a child, and God led her straight to you.

Now, which of these two women, Are you the product of?
Both, my darling, Both, Just two different types of love.
