An adopted child is not an unwanted child; to the contrary.
They are a child who was searched for, prayed for, cried for, begged for,
received by arms that ached, making empty hearts full.
Love is meant to be shared.

Skype
This is how I plan to talk to our kids (and our parents) while we are in Vietnam. I know some people that have used it before and I allowed the website to look at my Yahoo Address book for them. If you get notification from me, please know that you DO NOT have to add me. I checked the people that I thought might chat with me some night so I (our our daughter) can test it with, or people who I thought I might need to talk to while in Vietnam. I didn't think it would send something to everyone yet (like our caseworker!).
If I don't "contact" you, please feel free to email me (WeAreAdopting at yahoo) and I will add you. I really hope to have some idea of how it works soon!

One of our kids is a foreign exchange student in Germany, and we talk to each other with Skype. It works great! She uses a headset, but I just use the camera and mic that's built into my MacBook. We'd talked about trying to set it up before traveling to Vietnam but thought it would be time consuming and difficult. It was quick and easy!
I used Skype in Vietnam and China and absolutely LOVED it! I didn't have any trouble with it all until I spent 4 days in the Hanoi Horison. It was blocked there.
Why four days there? I was there during "the investigations" and we were only booked at hotels for so many days, then the hotel would be booked up and we would have to move out for a few days. A not fun game of musical hotels.
We also used Skype while we were waiting for our sons visa to be approved. We were there for 9 weeks and it kept us sane!!!
