We Have Been Blessed: 6 Months

6 Months

Today marks 6 months since we first saw our new son's face. We never thought it would take this long to go get him, much less to file for his entrance visa. We were sent pictures of a 4 month old baby that was matched with our family.

We still haven't heard any news on the our paperwork error. I am trying to remain positive and optimistic. FAITHFUL. I believe in our agency. They have said that it isn't something to really worry about that it is just a delay until they can get the problem solved. I hope they can soon.

Little boy, all alone,
with nobody to call his own.
A family waits a world away,
the months drag by,
long day by day.
The pictures show up
now and then.
The family wonders time and again.
who dries his tears,
who holds him tight,
who tucks him into bed at night?
Who reads him books,
who sings him songs,
and comforts him
when something's wrong?
The little boy he does not know,
this family who loves him so.

Once there were two women who never knew each other
One you do not remember, the other you call Mother

Two different lives shaped to make you one
One became your guiding star, the other became your sun

The first one gave you life, and the second taught you to live it
The first gave you a need for love, the second was there to give it

One made an adoption plan, that was all that she could do
